When I had worked in London it was usual for most of
the office workers
00
to go to the pub for a drink after work on Friday. We
used to finish work
correct
01
about five o’clock and walk to the nearest pub that it
was on the corner
02
of the street. English people usually buy rounds of
drinks, which
03
means that one person will buy them everyone a drink
and when
04
they are being finished, another person will buy a
drink for
05
everyone. This continues until people decide to leave
the pub, or until
06
they get extremely drunk. I recommend to trying this
if you go to
07
England. One day we stayed in the pub until it closed
at 11, and went to
08
A night club which was at about 20 kilometres from the
pub. We got
09
to there very happy and very drunk. We danced, drank
more beer and
10
thoroughly enjoyed ourselves the evening. When we left
the club we
11
were all too drunk to drive and so that we decided to
leave the car in
12
the car park. We asked of a waiter to call a taxi.
While we were waiting,
13
I decided to dance in a water fountain which was
outside the club. We
14
did not get back our home until very late. I was wet,
tired and very
15
happy, but I had made a big surprise when I looked in my
empty wallet!
