If you love mountains and sports, you’ll probably love Boulder, Colorado.
Boulder is a very nice city located on the front range of the Rocky mountains. There are about 100,000 people who live in Boulder, and maybe half of them are students who go to the University of Colorado. Students come from all over America to study at the University of Colorado. Not just because it’s a good school, but many of them come because they like to ski.
There are also other things you can do in Boulder besides go skiing. There’s lots of pleasant parks, and a nice beautiful creek that comes down from the mountains right through the centre of town. There’s a pedestrian mall downtown, where you could sit outside and eat lunch or drink coffee and watch all the people walk by. You could even take a walk from the mall into the mountains, or ride your bike, or even a short drive.
You might have heard of a famous song by a singer named John Denver about Colorado. It’s called ‘Rocky Mountain High’. Don’t worry, I’m not going to sing the song for you, but it’s a beautiful song, and ‘Rocky Mountain High’ is about the very special feeling you get when you’re up in the mountains. |
