Detroit, Michigan is one of the largest cities in America.

It is known as ‘The Motor City’, and the reason for that is because of the automobile industry which is centred in Detroit. General Motors, Ford and Chrysler are all headquartered in Detroit. And it is also the place where Henry Ford built the first assembly line.

Over the years with the ups and downs of business, Detroit has had many problems, and there are many depressed areas of the city. Though, through determination and diversification, the city is starting to return to its better days.

Detroit is also well known for its musical history. Many of America’s great jazz, rock and roll and currently electronic musical greats come from Detroit.

So if you love cars, and you love music, I guess you’ll love Detroit!
