What an amazing match this is. Four goals in the first half and Snotty sent off after a terrible foul on Mike Knobbled. The fans here looking forward to a great second half of play as we kick off again.

Here we come up to the first fence, it’s Sunny Boy in the lead and in second place Gypsies Kiss who is the favourite here today. Gypsies Kiss jumping well at the first from Toe Rag in third place at 3 to 1. A wonderful horse Toe Rag, trained by Tommy Gunn and ridden by the Irish jockey Mickey Pickles…..

Brown in on the ropes, soaking up the body punches from Tibbs. Tibbs hitting hard. He’s throwing some accurate punches. Some blood appearing over Brown’s right eye. Oh and Brown’s down in the fifth round. This could be a knockout. A fantastic right from Tibbs…..

This men’s singles match is nearly over. Bird leads Smotherson by two sets to love and five games to three in the third set. It’s Bird to serve with new balls and he’s just broken Smotherson’s serve, so it looks like it’s all over now for young Tim Smotherson unless he can pull something special out of the bag.

Winkleshmackle is still in the lead by two laps now as he pulls into the pit for a wheel change. He had some trouble around the last bend, but he’s been driving brilliantly in this race today and will surely take the chequered flag and keep his place at the top of the Formula One table..

...so it’s India now going into bat after tea. 411 for 3 in their first innings and England are in trouble again. I can just see a bird flying over the scoreboard here at the Oval. There’s a lovely blue sky, and we certainly hope that the weather will stay this way when England come out to bat tomorrow to face these Indian spinners. |
